Hourly Dial-Up Pricing Explained

Hourly dial-up pricing is simply based on the wholesale ISP's cost plus a markup. When compared with per-user pricing, it is commonly much more economical. Some ISPs believe that they can avoid this fact, but for the vast majority of ISPs, the cost is much lower. This is because when you purchase services based on a per-user pricing structure, you are paying for an estimated cost-per-user based on the wholesaler's global averages, plus a markup, plus a padding in case your users exceed the wholesaler's estimates.
